Motor licensing or plate number registration is done at the state level in Nigeria. That means that to have a Lagos-based number, you need to apply for a license in Lagos. The same applies to other states including Abuja.

Before you go to register your car, so make sure to be in possession of a valid driver’s license. In Nigeria, the driver’s license is issued by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC). It takes about 60 days to be ready.

3. Delivery note from the seller
