To maximize your time, follow these simple steps:

1. Use a time plan

Do you remember when you were in college or high school? Every subject and course always had some time allocated to it and no matter how much you or the lecturer enjoy the class, when the time elapses, you just have to give way for the next class?

That system was adopted to make sure that the curriculum of the school for a particular term or session was covered so that no subject is left untouched.

If you adopt this system, it will work for you. Look into your 24 hours and put them in a time table and allow it to stick to your subconscious.

2. Arrange everything orderly

By default, a scattered place is a time-waster. Imagine wanting to write a book from 7:15 – 10:00 and you had your research materials scattered all over the place, you would need to, first of all, arrange the whole thing before you actually start writing and this would have eaten deeply into your time and may cause a disruption in your time table. This is why it is important that you put things in place.

3. Focus

In today’s world, everything is crying for your attention at all times, the social media, colleagues, family, appetite, gadgets, work, recreation, etc. the best thing you can do for yourself is to concentrate your effort in making sure that you finish the work at hand first before jumping at other things. This is why a wise man once defined focus to be “Following One Course Until Success”.

4. Use the right tool

If you really want to do it well and fast, use the right tool. Imagine cutting down a tree with a razor blade, sure, you will cut it down eventually but it will take a longer time to do so but if you make use of the right tool, you will be done with the job in no time.

Thanks to technology, everything has now been simplified, you can now find something to make everyday activities faster in order to save time.

5. Give yourself occasional Breaks

Especially when you have just completed a tedious task. If you do not rest occasionally, you will find yourself resting or even falling asleep in the middle of other jobs.

This, however, does not mean that you should take a lot of time to rest, 15-30 minutes breaks should be enough to relax your nerves after a rigorous work.
