So many people think that every part of what is under a woman is what is called the vagina, they are ignorant of the fact that the vagina is just a part of the whole reproductive organ of a woman.
The external reproductive organ or genitals of the woman is called ‘Vulva’ and it is made up of different parts such as mon Bubis, hymen, perineum, labia, and clitoris.

The following are the Female Reproductive systems:
The Clitoris
This is a very tender and sensitive part of the woman’s reproductive organs. It is often referred to as ‘g-spot’. It is located on the inside and is sensitive to touch.
The clitoris is made up of a shaft, glans, and spongy tissue which is soaked up with blood during intercourse. It is the glans in the clitoris that promotes the sensitivity of the clitoris.
The Mons Pubis
This is the outer part of the female reproductive organ. It is a fatty tissue that is usually over the pubic bone. Literally, during puberty, the mon Bubis is usually covered with hair.

The Vagina
The vagina in itself is the doorway that leads from the genitals to the reproductive organs in the female. It is where intercourse takes place. It serves majorly as the birth canal where vaginal birth is done.
The vagina has very soft flexible walls that are normally touching each other. During sexual activities, the tension in these muscles increases, and the walls of the vagina swell with blood.
The Urethra
The Urethra leads directly from the urinary bladder to the opening between the clitoris and the opening of the vagina. It conducts urine from the bladder to the outside of the body. Unlike the male urethra, the female Urethra does not depend on the genitals.

The Labia
These are two paired folds of skin lying just below the mon pubis. The outer lip is called ‘labia majors’ and it is a fold of skin covering a large amount of fat tissue and a thin layer of smooth muscle.
The labia majors are the inner lips whose fold meets just above the clitoris forming a fold of skin called the ‘Clitoral glans’
The Prepuce
It is the foreskin of the clitoris that is formed from the upper portion of the labia minors.
The Hymen
This is a thin tissue membrane that covers the vagina. When a woman’s hymen is broken, it becomes clear that such a woman had lost her virginity.
It is the breakage of the hymen that causes bleeding during a woman’s first sexual intercourse.
The Ovary

It is one of two female reproductive glands that produce eggs and hormones. They are located at the end of each oviduct and they represent the female gonads.
The Uterus
Mostly called ‘the womb’, it has a pear-like shape, is hollow, has a thick wall, and is a muscular organ. It is in the uterus that the fertilized egg develops in every woman except if there is a complication.
The Cervix
It is the organ projecting into the upper part of the vagina. It is the end of the uterus opening towards the vagina.

The Oviduct
Commonly called the ‘Fallopian Tube’, it is a pair of tubes that are located on either side of the upper corner of the uterus and curve around each ovary.
They are not usually attached, they are just curved around. It is here in the Fallopian tube that the egg and sperm meet.
