When a child and an adult are placed in the same class and taught the same thing, the way the adult will learn is usually different from the way the child will learn. This is as a result of so many things and in this article, we will look at how adults learn differently from children.
Adults have seen the world in so many dimensions that children may not see. Adults have relatives, colleagues, neighbors, friends and even enemies and each of these people impacts the life of an adult both positively or negatively and because of this, when a concept is taught, adults are able to relate it to the experiences they might have had in the past while children cannot.

As a result, adults tend to look for opportunities to learn so that they can interact, reflect on their own and then, assimilate the information.
3. Adults Are Not Good at Taking Directions Without Knowing the Motive
When you teach the children, they usually will follow exactly what is being taught even when it relates to their future but adults do not respond to learning that way.
An adult learner will not agree with what you have taught unless they find out a way in which what is being taught is connected with their goals or ambition.

It is the children that are new to the idea of learning styles as such, they usually want to explore other learning styles meanwhile, the adult has a particular learning style and may not want to bend when it comes to trying something new and in order to improve our behavior to learning and assimilate what has been taught, it is important that we as adults try our best to differentiate learning styles and critically look at which of them works better for us.

Most of the time, adults do not want to fail because they think they know what failure means and this hinders the learning process of the adult quite unlike the kids who do not care about what the adults think about failure.
Hence, in order for an adult to be interested in the process of learning, it is important that he builds more information on small pieces and support it gradually with a little extra learning.
